David Schoenberg BA, LMT, CNMT, graduated from Antioch College with a degree in Biology/Environmental Science. Upon Graduation David taught two college level classes in conjunction with Antioch College’s Environmental Field Program. He continues to be an advocate for conservation and health of our environment. He states that ‘Our surrounding is an extension of who we are. If we use pesticides on our food or in our gardens eventually those will end up in our bodies and hence our health and well being are compromised.’ Before Massage school he adventured mostly in environmental interpretation/education and outdoor Instruction in skiing, canoeing, climbing, rafting, and hiking.
David founded Mountain Therapeutics, a home private practice in 1993 upon completing a 750 hour massage therapy program at the Heartwood Institute in Northern California. Additional course work at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) allowed him to obtain a New York State Licensed. David now enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge at CCMT in their professional training programs.
In December 1996 David traveled to Thailand to study Traditional Thai Massage. In 2002 he earned his Certification in Neuromuscular Therapy from Paul St. John. He is a practitioner of Iyengar Yoga and is a member of the Iyengar Yoga Association of the United States. In addition to teaching at other area yoga studio’s, he has an on going class since 2007, Tuesday mornings 930-10:45am at the Redding meditation Center. Most recently he traveled to India and furthered his studies in Polarity Therapy; a protocol that engages our felt sense aligning our bodies energies, enhancing our connection and beingness.
